It was a mess.
Then, I found the below tools and started transforming my space one spot at a time. By the end of this post, you will have a list of helpful products to help you create an organized laundry room.

1. Lint Bin
Lint is the bane of my existence! Maybe it is just me, but I feel like I am constantly emptying the lint filter. I am running back and forth from the trash so often, that I even considered buying fewer fully towels if it meant less link to clean out!
These little lint and dryer sheet holders are life-changing. They have magnets on the side of each that allow them to stick directly to your washer and dryer. Since I am still rocking a washer and dryer from the year 2000, they can stick right on the side of my machines.
If you have more advanced machines, they can also have nail holes on the back to hang neatly on a nearby wall. You can kiss the days of running to the trash in between loads goodbye!
2. Detergent Dispenser
Until I got engaged, I had no idea that most people put the detergent in before the laundry. I had always drenched the top of my clothing with the liquid then started the machine (again, imagine the old school machines here!).
Thankfully, my fiance has since taught me that the best way to disperse the detergent is to place it into the tub before inserting the clothing. This new knowledge still didn’t solve my problem of detergent getting all over my laundry room counter.
Then, I discovered this handy little detergent dispenser, and I saw a future filled with a detergent-free counter.
3. Storage Cart
Nothing makes me feel more organized than when I put everything together in one place. Even if these cart shelves are a mess, the fact that they hold everything in place gives me the impression that I have everything together (literally, LOL).
Everyone wants their items handy and organized when they are looking for them, and this little cart accomplishes both of those things.
4. Slim Laundry Room Cart
This slim little beauty provides all the same benefits for your laundry room as the above option but in a space-saving size. For us old-school laundry machine users, this cart can go between them to save even more space.
If you need to save on space, but still want to have an organized laundry room, this is the cart you need.
5. Clothes Hanging Rod
When I lived at home, my mom had a rod similar to this, that I always got yelled at for using. Sadly hers wasn’t as sturdy as these and looked like it was about to crumble down anytime I hung something from it.
This solid curtain rod allows you to hang clothes with ease. This is the answer to our clothing prayers for those of us who hate when our clothes shrink in the dryer.
6. Stylish Laundry Baskets
Buying a stylish laundry basket somehow makes the process of doing laundry slightly less painful. One of the best things I did was purchase two of these white and brown woven baskets for my new home.
These flexible yet durable baskets are easily more visually appealing than a hard plastic basket, and depending on the basket, are probably much lighter as well!
7. Lost Sock Holder
This lost sock holder allows you to store all of the floating socks that go into the wash with a partner, but come out alone in one place!
The idea of buying new socks when you see a collection of yours sitting in this basket, will be enough motivation to match them up and save yourself some money on new ones.
This post is all about the products you can use to create an organized laundry room.
